Agrobiotech: Micropep raises $8.75 million to develop alternatives to pesticides

The Toulouse-based nugget is a disruptive company that wants to change the face of agricultural biotechnology by using natural and sustainable methods instead of GMO seeds and pesticides. Born in 2016, and with the ambition to revolutionize the food and agricultural industry of the future, it develops innovative biofungicides and bioherbicides, containing natural micropeptides, as an alternative to pesticides and chemical inputs. This round of financing should enable the start-up to accelerate its development in the United States and to offer solutions there as early as 2025.
