Synapse raises €25 million for its drug database

Synapse Medicine, a database on the effects of drugs, concludes a €25M Series B round, led by Korelya, a fund created by Fleur Pellerin and backed by the South Korean group Naver. On this occasion, it sees several of its historical shareholders renew their support: XAnge Digital 3 (managed by Siparex Innovation), BNP Paribas Développement, and MACSF. In February 2019, Synapse had raised €1.3M with a €1.3M seed round, followed by €6M during a Series A in July 2020. Its first capital increases were also funded by Kima (via its Ventures II fund), and business angels, such as Nicolas Dessaigne, co-founder of the search engine Algolia.
